Cupecoy Bay
Cupecoy Beach is a smaller beach located on the southwest corner of St. Maarten. It is one of St. Maarten’s well known clothing optional beaches. There is easy access to the beach from the parking lot located right along the road.
The water tends to be a little rougher at Cupecoy, so it’s probably not the best place to hit with little kids. There are also few amenities to be found on the beach, with no restaurants or bars. There are beach chairs and umbrellas and also grills, and there may be an occasional local strolling by selling drinks out of a cooler.
Not typically a snorkeling spot, this is mostly a beach for those that want to just enjoy the atmosphere and scenery. The beach is set against a backdrop of large rock formations, caves, and small cliffs.
