Grand Case Beach

Grand Case Beach isn't known best for it's sand, water, beauty, snorkeling, or beach parties. No, it's most famous for all of the gourmet restaurants found along it's gentle curve, lending it the moniker of 'Gourmet Beach.' This one mile long stretch of sand and surf is located on the western side of the northern tip of St. Maarten. It offers great views of Anguilla, and features calm, clear water.

There are a wide variety of bars and restaurants to choose from, spread all along the water's edge. There are also small food vendors on the beach which serve more modestly priced morsels, which might be more appropriate for a day at the beach. In the evening though, the fine dining options served up from north to south along the ocean should not be missed.

Calmer waters make Grand Case Beach an ok spot for swimming, especially with newer swimmers or young children. There is also some ok snorkeling to be had, particularly towards the southern end or at the reef at Creole Rock.
