Lindquist Beach

Renowned as one of the best beaches on St. Thomas, it is still not that widely known. It's also not the easiest beach on the island to get to, which probably helps to keep people away. Those that are willing to seek out are well rewarded.

Calm blue waters, fine white sand, and gentle breezes are the norm at this beach along the eastern edge of the island. It's the perfect place for playing in the surf, soaking up rays, or playing some frisbee in the sand. Most days it's all but deserted, although on the weekends it's a preferred hang out for locals so there may be a few more people.

There are essentially no amenities available on this beach, so be sure to bring something to eat or drink if you don't want to have to go roaming for a meal.

As with nearly all beaches in the Virgin Islands, some decent snorkeling can be had at Lindquist Beach. The entire bay should be calm enough to snorkel comfortably, but of course the reefs along either end of the beach, especially the left side, will offer the greatest variety of fish and other creatures.
