Playa Negra

Made famous by the movie Endless Summer II, which was filmed here, Playa Negra is a surfing beach located just about in the center of the coast of Guanacaste Province in Costa Rica.
There are resorts, hotels, and lodges right near the beach, and also restaurants and bars, so all the comforts and amenities are available.
There are areas farther down the beach which don't have the large breaking waves and are much better suited to swimming or just enjoying the ocean.
